On May the 23rd and 24th, in the premises of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Belgrade the Symposium was held on Greek-Serbian Cooperation 1830-1900. This is the second meeting organized according to protocol on collaboration by the Institute for Balkan Studies of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Belgrade and the Institute for Balkan Studies in Thessaloniki. The first Symposium was held in Kavala in November 1976 and the Institute for Balkan Studies in Thessaloniki published the collection of reports submitted on that occasion in Greek and Serbian under the title Cooperation between Greeks and Serbs during their Struggles for Liberation 1804-1830.
According to the subsequent agreement between the two institutes, at the second Symposium held in Belgrade the reports were submitted in world languages. That is why the present Collection is published in those languages.
Contributions in this Collection by Greek scientists are published without changes, while the ones by Yugoslav scientists after the usual procedure of critical review.
The reports in this Collection follow the order in which they were read at the Symposium.
